Located at 2619 Sweeten Creek Rd 50 60, Asheville, NC 28803, Retro Coffee operates as a coffee shop serving Asheville in North Carolina. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
Coffee in the United States is served by three kinds of places: national chains with drive-thrus and mobile ordering, independent neighborhood cafes that double as a workspace or a meeting spot, and specialty shops that roast their own beans or buy single-origin lots and brew them by pour-over, espresso or cold brew. Most open between 6 and 7 a.m. on weekdays, slightly later on weekends, and the busiest hour is the commute rush before 9. A drip coffee runs a few dollars, espresso drinks and specialty pours more, and tipping a dollar or a percentage on the card reader is customary but not required. Nearly every cafe offers free Wi-Fi, though some limit laptop seating at peak times or on weekends, and outlets are often the scarce resource.
The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. The most common schedule is 8 amβ3 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. No phone number is listed for this business, so the Google Maps link on this page is the best route for directions and any contact details Google has on file.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.8 out of 5 from 237 reviews, which is a strong result for a coffee shop in Asheville and suggests consistent service.
Asheville is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Asheville follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Love that they have a seasonal menu. The space is quiet and comfy, very relaxed. I got the pumpkin cream cheese cold brew coffee and it tastes great!

I had breakfast with my mother who is currently in a wheelchair. The barista was very friendly, and the seasonal drinks were delicious, as well as the muffins, including the GF peach muffin! The atmosphere was warm, casual and quiet, which is exactly what we were looking for. They also had a great selection of local goodies, like local art, a small community library, bagged teas and coffee beans. If I vacationed in Asheville again, I would choose to eat here :)

Cozy place, beautiful ceiling. Both hot and iced latte were good. My wife enjoyed the salted caramel cold foam.

I love this place for a couple reasons. The first is that everything there is delicious. I got the everything Danish, a drip from a local roaste, and a matcha latte. All were locally roasted/made in the Asheville community. Thats another reason, this family owned/operated shop goes out of their way to support local, craft products. You might even see a small pop up market when you are there. A must stop coffee shop on the south side. 10/10.

I have been one of Caries long term customers since she worked as a Barista at Crank Coffee in Brevard. When she opened her first coffe shop at the Ashville Mall , I was so happy because we need more independent coffee shops that are run by woman!!! And then when the outlet mall was giving her grief, I was rooting she find her own space away form the corporate greed. And I walked into new shop at Retro and finally felt like this was her own space for her be to creative without oversight. The coffee and baked goods are all local. Carrie is like a bartender always creating some amazing drink. She helps me to expand my horizons as someone who is highly rootinized. You walk in strangers and come out as a friends. She accepts everyone regardless of your skin color, sexual orientation or economic status. She has a food pantry and cares about the less fortunate. I am not just saying all this because I am her friend, but because the shop is busy everyday. That show's other people feel the same way as I do. It's because people care about Carrie and her mission. It's Carries dedication to the community and to each person she values is the simple reason why people come back. Chains
